I started Impulse Travels because frankly my obsession with planning trips was getting out of hand. In my spare time I’m the type of person who spends hours crafting the perfect itinerary for a place I’m not even sure I’ll visit yet. Pair that with my impulsive streak and it’s no surprise I’ve found myself booking last minute flights to places I can barely pronounce.

Over the years I’ve bartended my way across the world pouring drinks for everyone from A-list celebrities to locals in remote villages who shared stories far more valuable than a tip. This blog is my way of channeling my travel planning addiction into something useful sharing tips, stories and itineraries for anyone who like me is an impulsive traveler.

My Travel experiences

Travel has always been a central part of my life, shaping my perspective and fueling my love for exploring new cultures. I’ve had the privilege of living in some incredible places and immersing myself in unique experiences.

I spent time living in Galicia, Spain, where the slower pace of life and stunning coastline made every moment feel like a dream. From the seafood to the lush landscapes, Galicia left a lasting impression on me. Later, I moved to Barcelona to complete a bartending course, diving into the city’s vibrant nightlife, culture and cuisine while mastering my craft behind the bar.

Being Greek, I’ve visited Greece regularly since childhood, exploring its islands, ancient ruins, and local traditions. Every visit connects me to my roots, whether it’s relaxing on the beaches and enjoying fresh Mediterranean food.

I’ve explored further afield, from the jungles of Costa Rica to the bustling markets of Thailand, the pristine beaches of Mauritius, and the vibrant culture of the Caribbean. I also lived in Australia for a year, where I embraced the laid-back lifestyle, incredible scenery and diverse cities.

Some of my most memorable adventures include backpacking solo through India, where I experienced its rich culture and chaotic beauty, and exploring Eastern Europe, immersing myself in the history and charm of its cities.

Each destination has left me with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the world.
